GUILD MEMORABILIA, ANECDOTES, FAMILY HISTORY?
If you looked hard in that cupboard, photo album or box, would you turn up reminders of personal or family involvement in the Festival? Do you have any stories or anecdotes you could share, perhaps tapes to listen to, or records of a group which used to take part?
As part of the 2017 Festival, and as a way of celebrating the 125th Anniversary, it is intended to work in conjunction with the IOM Family History Society and Culture Vannin. We hope to improve our records of previous Festivals and ensure that, going forward, a formal archive is built up. We are not collecting original artifacts, but would welcome the chance to copy or record anything relevant which you are able to share. An exhibition will run from April 21st to May 17th, 2017 in the Circle Gallery at the Villa Marina featuring some of the new material.
- A moment in the life of the Guild
- My family and the Guild (perhaps recent family involvement)
- Cleveland medal/trophy anecdotes
- Baume scholarship recipients/memories
- More substantial pieces on families
