New trophy for Music Hall Class

The Festival Committee is to offer a new trophy for the Music Hall class to be named the McDowell Trophy in recognition of the contribution made by the McDowell family to the music scene on the Island. Wendy McDowell s an long term stalwart of the Festival as accompanist, musical director and committee member and the trophy is equally intended to recognise her contribution over many years.

The beautiful, solid silver bowl made in Birmingham in 1939 was supplied by Osborne's Fine Art and Antiques of Ramsey and will be engraved at Corletts of Douglas.
